Josh always strived to be the best that he could be. His dream was to be a Marine, the best of the best. Before he left for boot camp, his mom marked the verse, Joshua 1:9 in his Bible. He found this verse during training and received a dog tag bearing the same verse upon graduation. He graduated ITB/SOI as PFC and was selected to train to be a recon Marine at Camp Pendleton. Josh died near the end of his first day of training, but his legacy lives on. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. God is with you." Joshua 1:9
